Values Value is a recruiting company with expertise in game development and is currently looking for an experienced Game Designer for a new top-down shooter. As the sole Game Designer in a small 4-person team, you will own the core gameplay from concept to implementation in Unity, shaping the project’s direction and driving its growth.
Our client is a publisher of hybrid-casual games, their team helps game developers quickly test their projects on a live audience, develop the game, and release it to the market.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Setup and balancing of core mechanics: shooting, movement, character physics;
Creating and configuring weapons;
Developing enemy logic and AI;
Designing levels on paper and assembling scenes in Unity;
Rapid prototyping of playable builds and iterating on mechanics;
Setting up Unity scenes: placing enemies, spawns, triggers;
Close collaboration with Producer, Lead Unity Developer, and Lead 3D Modeller;
Testing hypotheses through gameplay and quick adjustments based on results.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
3+ years of experience as a Game Designer in Middle/Senior role;
Experience developing shooters (arcade, top-down, 3rd/1st person);
Experience creating core gameplay: shooting, movement, physics – from scratch or in early project stages;
Excellent Unity skills: independent work with scenes, gameplay setup, hands-on prototyping in the engine;
Ability to build levels: blockouts, navigation, enemies, scripted triggers;
Understanding of shooter physics and game feel;
Ability to rapidly prototype and bring prototypes to testable state;
Experience working in small teams and high autonomy;
Extensive playtime in shooter genre; ability to deconstruct gameplay into components.
