Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

Vizor Games is a game development company whose titles are enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to strengthen our marketing analytics team.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Optimize architecture based on our new analytics platform.

• Assist with deployment and configuration of the Databricks workspace for the team.

• Set up monitoring and alerting for data pipelines.

• Improve pipeline performance during migration to Databricks.

• Help configure Unity Catalog for data governance and security in Databricks.

• Evaluate additional Databricks features and propose relevant use cases.

• Integrate Airflow with Databricks.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.

• Strong understanding of relational databases and principles of storing and processing large-scale data.

• Advanced SQL skills, including experience in query optimization.

• 2+ years of experience working with analytical platforms.

• Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of SOLID principles.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, including knowledge of its architecture and service interactions.

• Deep understanding of DWH infrastructure and architecture.

What is important for us in a person?

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Citus extension for PostgreSQL.

• Basic knowledge of OOP.

• Experience with GitLab version control.

• Understanding of business processes in the gaming industry.
