Senior Game Designer (Economy/Balancing)

Values Value, the main recruiting expert in gamedev is looking for a Sr Game Designer for one of our clients. The company creates mobile games that are incredibly fun and can be enjoyed by players for a very-very long time. Here’s an opportunity for an experienced game designer with a strong focus on economy design and balancing to join a team of seasoned game-makers and their recently funded start-up. 

Their first game blends casual resource management with puzzle mechanics and a light metagame (think Merge Dragons meets Klondike: Adventures metagame) and has been initially validated by upper percentile early retention and engagement metrics. 

Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

• Work as the main balancer in a small, interdisciplinary team;

• Lead the game’s balancing efforts (i.e Cooldowns and Capacities of production facilities, Rewards and Requirements of missions, Currencies and their sources and sinks etc);

• Support the other designers by making sure that the designed systems can be balanced and maintained long term;

• Work closely with the Data Scientist to optimize balancing of game features and events based on tracking data.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

• You gained several years of qualifying experience as a designer with a strong focus on economy design, balancing and systems design, ideally from an early phase onwards way into live ops;

• You have extensive experience in F2P mobile game design, preferably in casual games;

• You have a proven track record in balancing game systems, optimally including lead or senior design experience on a shipped casual simulation product (e.g. Hayday, Township, Merge Dragons, Klondike, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, SimCity BuildIt, Dragon City Mobile etc.);

• You want to make games that bring perpetual entertainment to players around the world;

• You are a humble team player with strong curiosity in others’ views;

• You feel intrigued by the idea of being part of a small, integrated autonomous team;
