Unity Lead Developer

We're SKC Games Studio, an independent video game developer based in the UK. Our focus is on creating engaging, enlightening and informative story-driven RPGs that challenge players of all ages.

We're blazing a trail for innovative Indie gaming.

Our mission is to revolutionise the gaming industry by delivering unparalleled entertainment that utilises cutting-edge technologies and immerses players in new and exciting environments and worlds. Our first franchise is a series of fictional role-playing games set in an overarching Metaverse with a non-fictional context, designed to provide both entertainment and thought-provoking content. We pride ourselves on our innovative approach to player engagement, drawing on real-world detail to create a fictional world that feels personal and dynamic.

The business is well backed with a highly experienced founding/managing team.

You will need to be able to commute to Cambridge UK or happy to relocate to the area. There are no remote options for this role at the moment.

Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

As the Unity Lead Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers to create, design, and implement game mechanics, systems, and features within Unity. This position requires a strong technical background in Unity programming and a deep passion for gaming

You'll be doing this:

• Lead Unity development for a sci-fi open-world game project.

• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and other developers to deliver high-quality game features.

• Develop gameplay systems and mechanics in Unity.

• Ensure technical excellence by creating and maintaining code standards.

• Ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.

• Manage a team of developers, providing mentorship and guidance.

• Continuously improve development processes and tools.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration between different systems.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

And you'll need this:

• Excellent understanding of Unity game engine.

• Strong experience in C# programming language.

• 5+ years of experience in game development.

• Experience working on at least one shipped title.

• Excellent English
