Indirect Sourcing Manager

An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced, passionate, and strategically minded Sourcing/Category Manager to join Aristocrat’s Indirect Global Strategic Sourcing team (IGSS) on a full-time, permanent basis.  The main purpose of this role is to deliver value within the Professional Services Category globally.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, supporting the development of Category Strategies, which are aligned to company goals, and executing associated sourcing projects to maximize value and mitigate enterprise risk.   The role will require you to act as part of an integrated Australian-US-based sourcing team in strong partnership with business stakeholders on a whole-of-lifecycle basis.

What You'll Do

• The Sourcing Manager will support the Professional Services Category/Portfolio within the Indirect Strategic Sourcing team at Aristocrat.  Working closely with the Portfolio Leader (Senior Manager).   

• Category Management:
  • Category discovery and prioritization through to supporting the development and execution of the Sourcing Strategy.  
  • Fostering strong business partnerships with stakeholders globally, ensuring the Professional Services category strategy is fully aligned with company and operational goals.
  • Influencing at all levels internally to embed the newly created Category Management structure at Aristocrat and to evangelize the Indirect Sourcing value proposition.
  • Contract Management: Mitigate risk to the organisation by establishing/negotiating robust and favourable Master Services Agreements with key Professional Services providers globally.
  • Costs Management – Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies/initiatives within the Professional Services category.
  • Data-driven decision making– applying your well-developed analytic and reporting capabilities
  • Continuous Learning – to ensure deep subject matter expertise within the Professional Services category.
• Sourcing Project delivery:
  • Executing Sourcing plans and managing associated BAU sourcing projects within your portfolio (and providing support as required across other categories).  This includes RFx-related activities, negotiation and contract execution, and renewals.
• Developing strong relationships with external supply partners.
• Supporting the achievement of the Indirect Sourcing team's Savings targets of $25+M annually.
• Providing excellent customer service to Stakeholders. Driving insight and regular stakeholder engagement cadence–  
• All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to supporting development of strategic templates, strategy documents, project charters, executive project summaries & contract summaries, savings documentation, and audits.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years Indirect Sourcing/Category Management experience (ideally in large, complex global organizations) 
• Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Finance, or related is required.
• Project Management (PMP) or Chartered Procurement profession is a plus.
• Strong specialist sourcing experience in a minimum of 2-3 Indirect Categories: 
  • Primary expertise in Professional Services (Consulting, Advisory, Legal Services, Audit, Insurance Brokerage, IT Implementation/Integration services, D&D services, Quality and Regulatory Testing Services).   
  • Additional experience in P&C /Talent/US Benefits and IT categories would be desirable.
• Superior commercial negotiation skills, developed through significant corporate sourcing environment experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain transparent relationships with internal stakeholders.  An ability to effectively persuade/influence others.
• Self-confident with an ability to accept and respond to challenges in a positive manner.
• Exceptional process rigor and integrity with a focus on sustainable procurement (CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility).
• Manages change, ambiguity, complexity, and drives for optimum results.
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience writing/generating RFx’s to suppliers and leading teams in complex RFx projects.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and project management skills.
