Programmer

Alkimia Interactive is part of the THQ Nordic group and was started to focus on RPG and Action Adventure games. Our first project is a full blown remake to the acclaimed Gothic series which is one of the most popular RPGs of all time. This project is created in Unreal for PC and Consoles. THQ Nordic provides unmatched stability as we have a high rate of project completion and success and has the necessary financial backbone for such projects.

На какие задачи (обязанности)?

• Support Art and Gameplay features and create sustainable workflows

• Understand and articulate the trade-offs between technical & design choices, and solve for the best player experience

• Work with production staff and other leads to establish engineering tasks and subsequent schedule requirements across multiple disciplines of programming and technology

• Take part in establishing coding standards and maintain efficient coding practices

• Mentor other programmers on the team with less Unreal Engine experience

• Provide critical analysis of technology and development practices with the goal of improving game quality, team efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment

• Be an active partner in driving the company’s technological vision

• Perform research to acquire the knowledge necessary to complete assigned tasks and maintain the technological evolution of current and future products

• Maintain familiarity with the current game and system designs of the game industry as well as with new emerging technologies

Какого профессионала ищем?

• Good C++ Knowledge

• Strong software engineering and architecting skills

• Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5

• Familiarity with PC and Console development best practices
