Cobovec is part of a small group of companies that develops casino games for online gambling operators. The sister company trades under the brand name Matrix Studios to distribute these games to regulated gambling markets.

The company's business goal is to be a top 25 global online casino games provider by the end of 2025.

The company developed its own RGS, BackOffice, variety of content, unique features, certified games in several regulated markets and aims to increase it's team size as it expands into each market.

Cobovec is looking for talented team of individuals, games developers, mathematicians, backend java developers and frontend, pixiJS and other types of skillsets.

Your key job responsibilities as the Senior Backend Developer in Gibraltar will include:

• As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be part of a team with the mission to build and maintain technology to support our games studio. This includes integrating with existing tech, developing new creative solutions for our games and integrations, investigating problems reported by our teams and coaching fellow developers.

• You will work in a dynamic environment where work is driven by a changing studio portfolio and the requirements of the different integrations and regulations. Therefore, you should be a fast-learner with a positive attitude and a strong passion for working with new technology and be able to jump into any project to quickly adapt and resolve complex problems.

• You will work with multiple teams passionate about improving the quality of the product, and always aiming to automate and improve the processes whenever is possible

Requirements for this Senior Backend Developer job in Gibraltar:

• B.Tech or equivalent degree, or proven hands-on Software Development experience.

• Expert knowledge about Java 11+ and Spring ecosystem

• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

• Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)

• Solid understanding of Java concurrency and multithreading

• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate, etc)

• Experience working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

• Knowledge about distributed caching systems like Hazelcast or Redis.

• Knowledge about message systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
