About the project

We are a team building a product at the intersection of DefenceTech, Gaming, and Real-Time Technology aimed at protecting civilians in critical situations.

Guardian Angel is a startup designed to assist law enforcement and security agencies during active threats (e.g., attacks at schools, campuses, or universities in the USA). The system includes drones with non-lethal weapons, digital control interfaces, operator panels, and a mobile panic button app.

MVP development is currently underway, with a launch planned for summer. You will join at a crucial stage and have a direct impact on the digital product’s functionality and priorities.

Who we are looking for

We seek a Product Owner who:

understands how to build complex, high-stakes digital products,

is not afraid of uncertainty and building solutions from scratch,

thinks systemically and flexibly — and effectively communicates ideas to others.

Your responsibilities

Gathering, detailing, and documenting requirements (business, design, tech)

Prioritizing tasks, managing backlog, forming the roadmap

Working on interfaces for various roles (drone operators, school admins, police, etc.)

Verifying implementation meets requirements, in partnership with engineering

Collaborating daily with co-founders and the team

Participating in user research, testing, and stakeholder interviews

Required skills and experience

5+ years of experience in Product Owner / Product Manager / Business Analyst roles

Experience designing complex, data-heavy real-time interfaces (maps, video, audio, chat, command panels)

Ability to structure requirements for business and design/dev teams

High level of autonomy and focus across multiple domains

Fluent English (spoken and written)

Native or near-native Ukrainian

Preferred advantages

Experience in DefenceTech, MilitaryTech, Gaming, Security, or Emergency Tech

Experience with high-risk or mission-critical systems

Knowledge of real-time command and control systems requiring complex decision-making (whether in real world, gaming, or both)

Conditions

📍 Format: fully remote

🕑 Working hours overlapping partially with CST (Austin, TX) and Ukrainian time zones

🕓 Employment: full-time, with an option for a 30-day part-time trial period

💼 Compensation — competitive, negotiated individually

✈️ Potential relocation assistance to the USA (Texas) upon agreement

Team

The project is led by two co-founders:

a former special forces operator with 30+ years of experience in complex operations,

a serial tech entrepreneur who is product and technology centric.

The team includes designers, Unreal Engine developers, mobile and web developers, mostly contractors.
