Sr Technical Lead – Manual + Automation

Lead data validation and testing for QA strategy in data engineering.

What You'll Do

• Establish and lead QA strategy for our data engineering stack—including pipelines, transformations, reporting, and data quality checks.
• Design and implement test strategies for ETL pipelines, data transformations, and BI dashboards.
• Conduct manual and automated testing for data pipelines and reports.
• Validate Looker dashboards and reports for data correctness, layout integrity, and performance.
• Automate data validations using SQL and Python.
• Own and develop the data QA roadmap, from manual testing practices to full automation and CI/CD integration.
• Maintain test documentation, including test plans, cases, and defect logs (e.g., in Jira).

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in QA roles, with a focus on data engineering and reporting environments.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating large datasets, and Python.
• Experience testing Looker reports and dashboards (or similar tools like Tableau/Power BI).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• A proactive and determined approach to successfully implement QA strategies.
