The VP, People & Culture Business Partnering will serve as a member of the P&C senior leadership teams having primary day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of P&C services across the business.  This individual will develop and align P&C strategies against Aristocrat’s regional vision and values and its core business objectives. This executive will be a senior level business partner, serving as the strategic and tactical lead on all P&C related initiatives, specifically, culture, learning and development, performance management, talent acquisition and total rewards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enhance, implement, and deploy contemporary human resources strategies, policies and practices that will improve the overall 

  • operation and effectiveness of the business. 

  • Act as a trusted adviser and thought partner on operational and strategic business issues. Drive workforce planning efforts in 

  • alignment with short and long-term business needs. 

  • As part of the senior leadership, provide guidance and leadership in all growth initiatives, including but not limited to M&A and 

  • integration of people and processes. 

  • Strategically and proactively recommend, customize, and implement effective P&C solutions to business issues in collaboration 

  • with P&C colleagues globally, leveraging best practices across all of Aristocrat’s business lines. 

  • Influence leadership by establishing credibility, trust, and rapport throughout the organization domestically, internationally and 

  • in consort with Aristocrat’s goals and objectives.

  • Consistently communicate the employee value proposition, ensuring that it ties to the business imperatives/KPI’s. 

  • Oversee the employee performance management process in an environment that recognizes, appreciates, and rewards top 

  • performance, as well as properly coaching, counselling, developing, and monitoring improvement plans and/or exit strategies for underperformers. 

  • Serve as an integral part of creating a positive and dynamic work culture and integrating the Aristocrat  values into every facet of the culture and day to day work. 

  • Promote and implement effective diversity and inclusion practices by combining sincerity, authenticity, and consistency. 

  • Assess organizational climate and implement organizational changes as appropriate to drive employee engagement. 

  • Direct the development of talent management strategies and implementation plans to attract, retain, and motivate team members; continuously striving for efficient talent acquisition processes. 

  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and optimization to include offshore. 

  • Identify solutions to recurring workplace issues or concerns by collecting/analysing data as well as relying on personal observation as input into this process. 

  • Cultivate and nurture a culture which values diversity, inclusion, equity, and the expert contributions of each team member. 

  • Ensure all P&C information is handled with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.

What We're Looking For

  • A deep generalist P&C background in Consumer Media, Entertainment, Gaming, Consumer Products and/or analogous fast-moving companies.  

  • Demonstrated success in diagnosing both the Organization and Individuals, with an independent point of view that empowers 

  • leaders and encourages cultural shifts where needed. 

  • A ‘player coach’ who is skilled at ‘active listening’ in large groups as well as one-on-one —excellent communication skills are 

  • imperative.  

  • Ability to engage deeply both in helping to drive the overall strategic objectives of the organization and proactively delivering 

  • high-impact, genuinely strategic talent management. 

  • A reputation for execution and getting things done — must be dogged in their approach, able to break through status quo 

  • through high action orientation. 

  • A passion for creating workplace cultures and experiences that support people, teams resulting in marketplace reputation where top talent thrives. 

  • Strong organizational planning and development skills with a particular focus on assessing diverse employee populations, 

  • benchmarking talent, and implementing development programs. 

  • Ability to influence and drive accountability across the organization to make the employer brand-promise real; solid conceptual 

  • skills to shape the organization to meet tomorrow’s demographic challenges. 

  • Fluency with HR IT systems/programs that create company-wide efficiencies. 

  • Must be accountable — always focused on both near- and long-term goals of the business. 

  • A results-oriented problem solver who balances creative strategic thought and strong operational delivery to drive performance

  •  through people and culture. 

  • Excellent communications skills and a positive attitude are a must.
