Commercial Contracts Counsel

Strikerz Inc. is a videogame-creating collective and an international gaming brand launched in 2016 by a handful of people involved with online football. Currently, there are 350+ of us spread over 4 regional offices in various locations across Europe or working from home (yes, we love it too). Strikerz Inc. is the force behind the UFL, the ongoing online football videogame revolution. Being fans, we aim at offering our players an unprecedented gaming experience available on all major platforms.

На які завдання (обов'язки)?

• Contract Drafting and Negotiation:
  Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of interactive entertainment agreements, including those related to licensing, marketing, public relations (PR), agency, publishing, and more.
  Proactively engage with and support business teams in development, marketing, and publishing initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Risk Management and Compliance:
  Provide strategic guidance on contractual obligations, requirements, and related matters to facilitate informed business decisions.
  Identify and mitigate legal risks while advising stakeholders on potential implications.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Collaborate with Publishing, Marketing, and Business Development teams to refine and optimize contract management workflows and maintain a comprehensive contract management database.
  Partner closely with Intellectual Property and Privacy Counsels to enhance contract management policies, driving efficiency and seamless collaboration across internal stakeholders

• Team Development:
  Oversee and manage the hiring process to ensure timely and effective team expansion, fostering a high-performing and capable commercial contracts team.

• Process Improvement:
  Develop, implement, and refine templates, playbooks, policies, and best practices to enhance and streamline contractual compliance processes.

Якого професіонала шукаємо?

• 5+ years of experience in commercial contracts, preferably in the video game, entertainment, or technology industry;

• Strong background in intellectual property and licensing agreements;

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex contracts

• Deep understanding of IP, technology, and entertainment law

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders;

• Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage team, follow through and meet deadlines;

• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;

• Fluent English.

Will be a plus:

• You are familiar with sports licensing, athlete endorsements, or brand partnership and brands collaboration contracts.

• You have a keen interest in football business, including knowledge of championships, leagues, clubs, players, seasons, transfers and the latest football trends.

• You have experience working in a global, matrixed organization
