We are seeking an experienced Lead Game Designer to join our indie studio and take charge of the design vision for our atmospheric co-op horror project. As the lead designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the player experience, defining compelling gameplay systems, envisioning a rich narrative, and guiding the team toward project goals. • Own and champion the design vision for the project, ensuring alignment with the game's narrative, mechanics, and business goals.

• Lead the design team, fostering collaboration and setting high-quality standards for game design across all areas.

• Drive the creation of innovative, engaging, and immersive gameplay systems, levels, and mechanics with a focus on horror elements.

• Create, maintain, and oversee comprehensive design documentation.

• Prototype, test, and refine design concepts using feedback from playtests and live data.

• Provide detailed feedback during reviews on all aspects of game design, including player characters, enemies, and levels.

• Partner with other disciplines (programming, art, sound, etc.) to deliver polished and cohesive features.

• Identify design risks and work collaboratively to develop mitigation strategies.

• Stay informed about industry trends and integrate innovative ideas to enhance the player experience.

• Mentor and guide the design team, fostering professional growth and alignment with project goals.

Якого професіонала шукаємо?

• 7+ years of professional game design experience, with at least one shipped title in the horror genre or a similarly atmosphere-heavy game developed in Unreal Engine.

• Proven leadership experience in a design role, including mentoring or managing a team of designers.

• Expertise in level design, player character design, enemy design, and core gameplay mechanics.

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate and iterate on design concepts and game mechanics.

• Broad knowledge of systems and content design, particularly in creating immersive horror experiences.
